Update from the President
August 28th Good day, Judson W. Simpson, CCC
BACK TO SCHOOL
welcome back
I hope that everyone had a great summer, I know mine was busy and I saw some changes. I hope that everyone's health is good. I know that during the summer there was not a lot of communication. For this I appologize.
This season sees much excitement starting off with the Foodlink kick off with "Taste Local Taste Fresh."
Come, celebrate the food and culinary delights of our region! The date has been set! Come join us on Sunday September 21rd, 2-5pm, for Foodlink's 5th annual Taste Local! Taste Fresh! event. This year, the country comes to the city. The island in beautiful Victoria Park in Downtown Kitchener is the setting for our popular celebration of local food and the hands that prepare it.
We will be holding our meetings again with re-newed interest and enthusiasm.
There’s no such thing as “too many cooks” when it comes to our newsletter. Every member holds the ingredients we need for a truly amazing first issue: experiences, knowledge, news, views, tips, concerns ...
Volunteer to write a short—or long!—article on a topic of your choice or one from the ingredient shopping list. Send your articles, photos and story ideas to ten_thumbs@hotmail.com
As well I'd like to insert a note from CCFCC National

Monday April 14
Just spent this morning with Susan Cook Scheerer and Terry Barna bringing an engaging hour filled with scrumptious recipes, fashion tips, health and more.....we had a little breakout of our President's Ball dinner. Today was the first day of their new show and format..I like the new look...one of the guest talked about spring cleaning and environmentally friendly tips....who knew one could do so much with Bounce sheets....today found pigs spilt out all over the 401...greasy mess I hear...
Monday April 7th we had a great at Caesar Martini's. Thanks to our hosts Rob Howie, and chef Mike Bruce!!! The spread was fantastic. New members and guests showed up for this one, discussions from Toppits foods, Rob did a quick wine tasting and it was a great success.
